Sunday Songbird: Fiero Roadtrip

I’ve been having a real Ted and Marshall situation lately, in that every single time I’ve gotten in the car lately, this song has been playing.  HIMYM fans should know what I’m talking about!

But if you aren’t a How I Met Your Mother kind of person, maybe you’ll recognize it as being a big part of one of my favorite movies – Benny and Joon.

Either way, the fact that it’s been stalking me made it the natural pick for this Sunday’s installment of Sunday Songbird!

You’re welcome for getting it stuck in your head for the rest of the week!

Sunday Songbird

“When I’m working, yes I know I’m gonna be,
I’m gonna be the man who’s working hard for you,
And when the money, comes in for the work I do,
I’ll pass almost every penny on to you,
When I come home (when I come home) well I know I’m gonna be,
I’m gonna be the man who comes back home to you,
And if I grow-old (when I grow-old) well I know I’m gonna be,
I’m gonna be the man who’s growing old with you…”

And in case you have no idea what I’m talking about when I reference “Fiero Road Trip” or “Ted and Marshall” – here’s the scene that pops into my head now whenever I hear this song, and that was the inspiration for today’s post:
