In the past I’ve dedicated my Sunday posts to a series called “Sunday Songbird” – but today we’re changing things up a little bit. Maybe we could call this “Sunday Bookworm”? Okay so it doesn’t have quite the same ring to it, but we’ll roll with it anyways…
Just like his mama, my two year old is already an avid “reader” – even if he can’t actually read yet.
We’ve always read together throughout the day, and at bedtime, starting when he was only a newborn. And now that he is really getting into his favorites, and bringing them to me, calling out “Mama!” followed by toddler names such as “hoo book” (owl book), “arm book” (farm book), or “uck book” (truck book), our reading time is getting all the more precious…and demanding…

We have been waiting a long time for grandchildren. If we ever get any, I will keep these books in mind.
I do hope you get some! My parents tell me they’re great fun!
It’s like you have to do all the hard work to get to the prize at the end. Somehow we missed the prize.
BTW, thanks. I still have hope.
