I have a lot of cleaning to do today and absolutely no motivation, but after spending the morning watching a Christmas movie on The Hallmark Channel with my little one, it’s time to get my rear in gear, so I’m putting on some Christmas music and getting to it! Ohhhhh this week. It’s been a year. So even though underneath it all, my life really is lovely and sunny, try as I might, right now I cannot for the life of me come up with the kind of Thankful Thursday post I’d LIKE to write…So instead you guys are going to get reality.
Today, my old iPhone sits in an iHome in my son’s nursery, quietly playing Jack Johnson’s soothing – upbeat and happy, yet still relaxed, and somewhat scathing – songs, lulling him to sleep every night…It’s fair to say he’s stuck with me through it all.

This year I have a lot to be thankful for, but today the big thing on my mind is my son, Jensen…He’s a 2.5 year old ball of energy that never stops moving, or talking – even if I can still only understand about half of what he’s trying to say.
This year, on May 2nd, the day after our son turned 2, we walked into the OB’s office full of excitement and fear. There was no reason for the fear, everything was fine, but there was fear nonetheless. It had settled into my bones and I just couldn’t shake it.
