“Zooey The AcroCat” Review!

About a month ago, Nicole over at AriesGrl Book Review contacted me, and she ever so nicely agreed to review one of my books!  Unfortunately, it took me a while to get organized as it was right around the time of Zooey The AcroCat‘s launch, but once I finally got everything in order, I sent one to her straight away.  Yesterday she e-mailed me to let me know she had read the book and the review was up!

Read an excerpt from her review below, or hop on over to the official AriesGrl Book Review website here to read the whole thing!

“[Zooey The AcroCat is] A unique children’s book, with hand-drawn pictures that will be relatable to young children and give the story a more personal feel. Though this story does not rhyme, the sentences are short and easy to read, which is perfect for helping children transition from being read-to, to reading the book themselves. Kelly tells the story of her two mischievous cats, which is relatable to every pet owner.  A bit of an abrupt ending will leave readers guessing what Baseball and Zooey do next…I would recommend this book to parents with young children as a cute, short bedtime story.”

(Sorry for the low quality cell phone pics)

As a new author, and a self-published one at that, it’s always a privilege to find someone interested in your books and willing to help you get your name out there.  There’s never anything more exciting, (or nerve wracking!) than those first few seconds before you read a review – Thank you again Nicole, it was wonderful having an opportunity to work with you!

  1. Well done! That’s great you have got a first review in, and such a good one too. The book looks lovely – what beautiful drawings you have. We are cat lovers here too and it looks a must-read!

  3. Might need to order this for my daughter. She loooves cats (we have two now, as our older girl passed away this June) and he first word was “ki-ki” (kitty kitty). Now, almost everything is “CAT!” Not just “cat,” but “CAT!” LOL
