The thing I love about quotes is that they can come from places you least expect. You don’t have to be a writer or someone famous, or even really all that great with words – kinda like monkeys on a typewriter, eventually everyone stumbles on a moment of insight through words at least once in their life.

Here are some quotes I’ve collected from unexpected places:

“You need to ask yourself if you can be the kind of guy she needs you to be, and if you can’t, you need to walk away.”  Desperate Housewives

“And what a lotta people don’t know is, souls are more fragile than bodies, and sometimes they don’t heal all the way.”  Murder, She Wrote

“You know what the issue is with this world?  Everyone wants some magical solution for their problems, and everyone refuses to believe in magic.”  Once Upon A Time

“You think it’s a weakness?  Make it a strength.  It’s part of you, so use it.”  Castle

“But I have a feeling, that if you ever truly let yourself go, you just might fly.”  Hart of Dixie

“The first step towards happiness is always the hardest.”  Shrink

And a couple of humorous ones:

-“Someone tell Britta what an analogy is…”
-“I know what it is!  It’s like…a thought…with another thought’s hat on!”  Community

‎”You’ve realized something it takes most people an entire lifetime to figure out, and some people don’t figure out at all – that a bird in the hand is always greener than the grass under the other guy’s bushes.”  North

“Well here’s my philosophy – I believe in controlling everything…and putting cheese on stuff.” Bunheads

  2. I find great quotes in song lyrics.

    Quick to judge,
    Quick to anger,
    Slow to understand
    Ignorance and prejudice
And fear walk hand in hand…

    hold on loosely
    but don’t let go
    If you cling too tightly
    You’re gonna lose control
Your baby needs someone to believe in
And a whole lot of space to breathe in
