A few weeks ago, I shared this post in which I talked about my love for the movies “When Harry Met Sally” and “Sleepless in Seattle”.
Well, the other day while I was spending an un-told number of hours on the internet, I came upon this site called “Hooked on Houses”. Since I am also hooked on houses, I was immediately intrigued.
My favorite part of the site? The section devoted to Television and Movie houses. Julia has written up pieces on just about every one of my favorite tv/movie houses (including the houses from Gilmore Girls and Stepmom) – the only one from my list that’s missing, in fact, is the beach house from the show “Diagnosis Murder.”
One exciting house included on that list is Sam Baldwin’s boathouse from “Sleepless in Seattle.” The post features pictures not just of the house as it was portrayed in the film, but also shots of what it looks like today – including some interiors.
Update: In honor of Nora Ephron, Hooked on Houses did a post on her 5 favorite houses from Ephron’s films.
Which look do you prefer? Do you have a favorite movie or television house?

Wow…now that’s a pretty cool boathouse :)
It’s not so much a house, as a flying vessel. As a kid I always fantasized about walking through the Millenium Falcon from Star Wars.
Still do actually…

Now THAT would be awesome! :)

That’s a great website. The TV house I know the best is the one from the Simpsons, but being animated, it changes occasionally. I wouldn’t mind living in the Addams Family house though.

Can you imagine how many fun hidden passageways it would have?? That would be a pretty cool house to live in for sure!
